About Our Church

We of Ridge United Methodist Church are united with Jesus Christ in His ministry of compassion for all people by offering HOPE, UNCONDITIONAL LOVE and MEANING FOR LIFE.

Our Mission & Vision

Our vision and mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

Denomination

“Open hearts. Open minds. Open doors.”

Through the United Methodist Church, all people are invited to experience God’s grace and grow in their knowledge and love of God through disciplined Christian living—in other words, putting faith and love into action. John Wesley referred to this as “practical divinity.” Grace, defined as the love and mercy given to us by God because God wants us to have it, is central to the United Methodist understanding of Christian faith and life.

“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God—not the results of works, so that no one may boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)

Jesus

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is God’s present activity in our midst. When we sense God’s leading, God’s challenge, or God’s support or comfort, it’s the Holy Spirit at work. Read More

Human Beings

Genesis 1:27 asserts that we’ve been made in the image of the Creator. Like God we have the capacity to love and care, to communicate, and to create. Read More

The Church

The church is the body of Christ, an extension of Christ’s life and ministry in the world today. Read More

The Bible

We believe that the Bible is God’s Word and is the primary authority for our faith and practice. Read More

God’s Reign

The kingdom or reign of God is both a present reality and future hope. The church is both a witness to what God’s kingdom will be like and a participant in it. Read More
